Yesterday was the first day my daughter had her first kill... !!!
She was running around in the hall shouting what distinctly sounded
like a series of curses.
An empty water bottle in hand( her weapon)
A polka dotted head-band around her neck
A diaper around her waist.
And determination written all over her face.
She was going mad trying to kill a housefly with the bottle.
She was running, the housefly was flying.
In between her curses came poooocchhhiii-poooocchhhiii!!
(insect-insect in Tamil)
And Bang, it was over.
The poor pooccchhhiiii was dead.
And a smiling Tanya looked over
satisfied for having saved her mommy from the deadly poocchhii.
It will be a while before i start teaching her what killing is.
Until then ignorance is bliss.

Simi, if you had been here you'd've grabbed a camera and would've shot as many pics as possible! It was a sight to behold indeed :)
Hey gal i still cant believe that you are a MOM!! :-) i mean i know you for the past 10 yrs and i still think of you as the gal who roamed around living in a fantacy world waiting to fall hopelessly in love. What do you know U did fall in love hopelessly and u do live in that fantacy world of urs njoyin every bit of it. Am so glad for u da, wish i could be the uncle that Tanya goes to when her mommy getz mad at her :-)
Hey man, welcome. Believe me life with my daughter is no fantasy. It is as real as it gets! And mommy doesnt get mad at her too often. So you can be here to change the diaper which is way too often! ;)
Haha I hope you did tell her that killing blood sucking insects was alright though.
I know it sucks that we make distinctions and killing is killing. I mean I am veg and all that because I think what we do in eating meat is brutal but I would kill mosquitoes any day any time with ZERO remorse (with pleasure actually). Well maybe it's the whole being sick with malaria for a month that got to me but even just the itching and scratching is not cool.
